About Us

Climate change challenges everything we know about our water supply and how we manage it.

There is a better way.

There is a future with a clean, renewable water supply because water leaders worked together to create it. At Carpe Diem West, we envision a time when water allocation matches human water needs and the needs of the environment,  incorporating water justice and equity into the fabric of western water management.

The key to that future is collaboration.

Our network of western water leaders is dedicated to addressing the profound challenge of increasing climate impacts on our water resources in the American West.

Our programs address Western water supply in three important ways:

  • Scaling up innovative forest headwater resilience and restoration programs
  • Catalyzing a common action agenda to address the impacts of climate change on western water and public health
  • Identifying macro issues that intersect with western water, like energy and changing demographics

Carpe Diem West is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. We devote our energy, talents and leadership to navigating the climate challenges ahead.
