Leadership Teams

The Carpe Diem model is to develop a strong leadership team around a particular initiative to develop collaborative solutions.  We have had extraordinary success with our first effort -- the Healthy Headwaters Leadership Team. This team is comprised of experts representing a range of interests across sectors who use their collective knowledge to develop innovative responses to challenges for individual Carpe Diem West projects. Carpe Diem's goal is to replicate this approach across our program areas.

Carpe Diem West Leadership Team Concept:

  • Define and re-frame the fundamental challenges the project was created to address
  • Identify existing programs that are effectively addressing these challenges, explore ways to highlight their success, and find ways to replicate them and take them to scale
  • Ascertain the additional scientific and technical knowledge needed to develop proposals for new policies and management practices
  • Lay the groundwork for new initiatives by identifying essential partners, key leaders, and strategies for the next stages.
