Climate Chaos and Local Resilience: Water Solutions in the American West

We are grateful for the people who are charting the course for climate resiliency and water justice in the American West and we want to share their stories with you.

For Carpe Diem West’s tenth anniversary, we are honored to present Climate Chaos & Local Resiliency – Water Solutions in the American West. These seven stories highlight what we know works and what we’ve been working with many of you on for ten years now: partnership, equity and smart choices.

As Fernanda Santos, the former New York Times reporter says in her introduction to this report: “Too often, communities have been pushed out, their voices silenced and their needs ignored. But there is action, and there is change, and there are people and organizations joining forces to make sure their water—our water—is equitably distributed and preserved for future generations.”

These seven stories are just a few snapshots representative of the inspiring work going on around the West. We invite you to learn more about what they, and others, are doing.
